Welcome to HabitCoach (the "App" or "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and HabitCoach. By using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Service Description

HabitCoach is a habit tracking and AI coaching application that provides:

  • Identity setting and management
  • Habit creation, tracking, and statistics
  • AI coach conversations and personalized advice
  • Progress visualization and data analytics

2. Account Registration and Security

2.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, complete information to create an account
  • You can sign in using email, Apple ID, or Google account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service

2.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • Do not share your account credentials with others
  • Notify us immediately if you discover unauthorized access

3. Subscriptions and Payments

3.1 Free and Paid Features

The App offers a free version and Premium subscription:

3.2 Subscription Terms

  • Subscription fees are collected through the Apple App Store
  • Yearly subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • Fees paid during the subscription period are non-refundable

3.3 Lifetime Membership

  • Lifetime membership is a one-time purchase, valid forever
  • Includes all Premium features
  • Future Premium features will also be included

4. Usage Guidelines

4.1 Permitted Use

  • Personal, non-commercial use
  • Creating and tracking your habits
  • Conversing with the AI coach for advice

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempting unauthorized access to systems or other users' accounts
  • Uploading malware or harmful content
  • Abusing the AI coach feature (e.g., mass automated requests)
  • Using the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to obtain the App's source code

5. Content Ownership

5.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of all content you create in the App
  • You grant us necessary licenses to provide the Service (e.g., storing, displaying your data)
  • You can delete your content and account at any time

5.2 Our Content

  • The App and all its features, designs, and content are protected by copyright
  • HabitCoach trademarks and logos are our property
  • You may not copy or use our content without written permission

6. AI Coach Disclaimer

Important Notice:

  • AI coach advice is for reference only and does not constitute professional medical, psychological, or health advice
  • For health concerns, please consult qualified healthcare professionals
  • AI-generated content may not be entirely accurate; please use your own judgment
  • We are not responsible for actions you take based on AI advice

7. Service Changes and Termination

7.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or update Service features at any time
  • Temporarily or permanently discontinue part or all of the Service
  • Modify subscription prices (existing subscribers will be notified before their current period ends)

7.2 Account Termination

We may terminate your account in the following circumstances:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Prolonged account inactivity (over 12 months)
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the suitability, reliability, availability, or accuracy of the Service.

  • We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • We are not responsible for any data loss
  • We recommend regularly backing up important data

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or damage to goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan)
  • In case of disputes, both parties shall first attempt to resolve through friendly negotiation
  • If negotiation fails, both parties agree that the Taipei District Court of Taiwan shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Modified Terms will be posted on this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the App or email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
